In February 2012, I filmed two teaching DVDs for North Light Media. They were shot in their studios in Cincinnati.
“Atmosphere & Light in Watercolor” teaches you techniques to use color for successful results. The lesson focuses on granulating and staining transparent watercolor pigments and how to incorporate these in a successful landscape painting. I demonstrate a moody, soft-lit, atmospheric landscape from start to finish.

“Acrylic Landscapes” shows how to achieve successful results with acrylic water media, no matter what your subject. There are exercises on color characteristics and color mixing. Follow me step-by-step as I begin with a working sketch I had done from a winter high country ski experience and take it to completion in my studio. I work on Aquabord using my signature line of acrylics.
