(Royal Talens)  This is a fine art gouache made in The Netherlands.  The paint has a gum arabic base and is compatible with transparent watercolors. Honey is added to the paint to keep it moist so the paint will not crack and crumble in the palette, and is also a deterrent to mold. It will dry to a uniform, matte, velvety appearance.  Although I squeeze my paint out fresh with each painting session, the color could be placed in a palette and stored. I use this paint with watercolor while traveling and painting on location. Most gouache brands are made for commercial art purposes as well as the fine artist.
