| I got my start fresh
out of college teaching in Oregon. As
often as possible I would go to the
coast on holidays or weekends and explore
the beaches and paint. This was in the
late 60s and early 70s. This workshop
will be held in Brookings, Oregon, one
of the gems of the Oregon coast. It
is located close to the California border
and has typically the warmest average
temperature and sun on the coast. Although
this will be a studio class exploring
color and water media, there will be
ample time to comb the beaches and listen
to the surf. |

Scotland is one of
my favorite countries to explore and
to paint. Two years ago Marta and
I discovered some beautiful traditional
working fishing villages along the
North Sea about 1½ hours
drive from Edinburgh. We spent three
weeks painting, hiking and exploring
this region. The weather was great
and the material was incredible. The
Jack Richeson Co. has put together
a ten-day workshop that will take
place here. An additional feature
of this particular workshop is that
our hotel is located just ten miles
from St. Andrews, the home of golf.
Spouses and friends will be happy!
As I have done in previous workshops,
I will organize a day where we will
visit museums in either Glasgow or
Edinburgh to see and study the incredible
works of the Scottish Watercolor Painters.
As many of you know the Jack Richeson
Company provides all of the art materials
for your painting experience and then
ships them back to the United States
to your door at the end of the seminar.
All you need to do is show up! Please
