Tuscany and the Cinque Terra, Italy 2008
A few 2008 Italian Paintings by Stephen Quiller are still available for purchase, and they are listed first. However, we welcome you to enjoy viewing all of the paintings, Stephen's introductory description to his Italian painting tour, and his reflections on the inspiration for each painting.
The following paintings were done during a September and October travel to the Tuscany and Cinque Terra regions of northern Italy in 2008. During the first two weeks I instructed a plein air seminar at a mountain town near Florence sponsored by the Jack Richeson Company. Marta and I then rented a villa in the hills close to the Tuscan village of Impruneta. Then I moved on to the Cinque Terra on the Mediterranean coast staying in Riomaggiore. These works were all painted on-site. However, I completed them in my home studio in Colorado.
