I have been a watermedia painter for more than 35 years. During this time I have been constantly experimenting and searching for paint that can help me best express.

Stephen Quiller Acrylic Paints are simply the best. I can count on them to give me the color note, mark and paintability I need. This highly-concentrated, pigmented acrylic cannot be matched for brilliance of hue, coverage power and opacity. The high-viscosity paint is heavy-bodied and can hold a great deal of texture and detail or be thinned to rich and luminous transparent washes. The pigment’s unique poly-resin binder is made to hold the mark of a juicy brush stroke and will adhere to any non-oily support.

The paint can be combined with any of the watermedia or collage and drawing media to make it a most versatile paint. The colors are selected to work with my color system.

I have composed a new color called Quiller Violet that is like no other violet made in acrylic. It neutralizes perfectly with cadmium yellow light and medium and is a rich, deep violet. With the addition of a little white, it just glows!

Listed on the back of each tube is each color’s complementary color, lightfast rating and chemical composition.

There is not only a great selection of pure hue and earth colors but also a variety of metallic, interference paints and mediums for more experimental directions.

This 93-color line contains only the highest quality pigments, which have been selected for purity and lightfastness. Each color in the line has been formulated to achieve the maximum pigment concentration and color strength consistent with good handling properties and stability. Because no fillers or extenders are used in Quiller Acrylics, most colors dry to a natural gloss while those with larger pigment particles create a more satin finish. Quiller Acrylics have a smooth, buttery texture that retains brush and knife marks yet is not stiff or difficult to manipulate. They allow the user to create bold, crisp impasto effects normally associated only with oil colors.
